Julie Hooper

Vice President of Public Affairs


Julie Hooper joined Randle Communications in 2012, after working in the state legislature. As a public affairs, project management and digital advocacy specialist, Hooper supports several Randle clients, including Golden 1 Credit Union, California Hospital Association and California Trailblazers.

Hooper excels at managing large projects and uses her strengths to coordinate and implement strategic communications initiatives for clients. Hooper has served as a spokesperson for Golden State Water Company and prepares clients to deliver key messages during media interviews, community presentations and customer meetings. Additionally, Hooper manages the firm’s digital practice, helping clients amplify and deliver strategic messages to stakeholders through social media.

In addition, Hooper oversees professional development and internal training to ensure Randle Communications staff is apprised of the latest trends in public relations and public affairs. Hooper is active in the Sacramento community and enjoys serving on the board of Capitol Network, a professional organization designed to strengthen the ties of women working in and around the legislature. With roots in the capitol, Hooper continues to serve as board member for the Capital Fellows Alumni Association and is a member of the leading national organization for communications practitioners, the Public Relations Society of America.

In 2012, Hooper served as press secretary for the California Delegation to the Republican National Convention. As the liaison between delegates and media, Hooper excelled at fielding press requests at one of the largest media events in the world.

Prior to joining Randle Communications, Hooper worked for the California Legislature, as a communications director and legislative aide in the state Senate.

Hooper earned a Political Science degree from the University of California, Davis and was elected Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Association, where she worked closely with university officials and state government affairs leaders on behalf of students.

During her collegiate career, Hooper worked as a Legislative Affairs intern in the Schwarzenegger Administration and as a press intern at the Republican National Committee in Washington D.C.

When she’s not in the office, Hooper enjoys staying active, traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
