Daniel Wetter

Assistant Account Executive

Daniel Wetter joined Randle Communications in May 2018 as an assistant account executive. In this position, he supports many of the firm’s public affairs clients including the California Hospital Association, California Association of REALTORS® and California Trailblazers.

Prior to joining the Randle team, Wetter was founder and owner of DW Digital Consulting, a Sacramento-based firm that specialized in the design and execution of social media and digital advertising strategies for political candidates and non-profit organizations.

While attending school at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Wetter participated in numerous internships and paid positions providing communications support for the U.S. House of Representatives, political consulting firms and campaigns. During the 2016 election cycle, he served on two political campaigns, working with the digital team on the Marco Rubio for President campaign and as political director for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s successful primary campaign in Bakersfield. He also interned for McCarthy in his Majority Leader and Representative offices in Washington.

Wetter earned a bachelor’s degree in political communication from the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University where he published academic research on political advertising and its impacts on polarization. During his college years, he also traveled with a group of young leaders to Israel to learn more about their democracy and history.

Wetter got his first dose of California politics in middle school when he interviewed figures like Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson as a “Kid Reporter.” His interest in politics only grew greater in high school when he worked as a news writer and “Teen Beat Reporter” for KTXL FOX40 News. As a high school student, Wetter also launched a successful high school media production program that continues to this day.

In his free time, Wetter enjoys visiting the Bay Area, spending time with his family and friends and trying new restaurants.
