Director of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships
Ana Helman joined Randle Communications in 2008 and has more than a decade of experience as a media and community liaison in the public, private and non-profit sectors. In her role as director, she manages client accounts and provides strategic counsel on various projects.
Previously she served as communications director for the North State Building Industry Association (BIA). Prior to joining BIA, Helman served as the Senior Consultant at @issue Consulting Group, Inc., where she managed a number of consumer and media outreach projects designed to educate consumers and bring attention to health care related issues. She played an integral role in securing community support and media coverage of Senator Jackie Speier’s (D-Hillsborough) legislative effort to educate children about the perils of anabolic steroids. She also led the community and legislative outreach efforts for the California HealthCare Foundation’s (CHCF) groundbreaking consumer website and outreach campaign, California Nursing Home Search.
Before joining the private sector, Helman’s work in the public sector included serving as Governor Wilson’s Assistant Appointments Secretary for boards and commissions related to Food and Agriculture and Health and Welfare. Prior to joining the Wilson Administration, she served as a California State Assembly Fellow.
Helman received her Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude in Politics from the University of San Francisco. A fifth generation Californian, she lives in Sacramento with her husband, Ted, and their children.
