Randle Communications Announces the Launch of its “News Team”

Proprietary News-style Impact Videos are a unique and powerful way to humanize, define and highlight issues to meet the needs of businesses, organizations and nonprofits

SACRAMENTO – Imagine if you could have the impact of real-time video, combined with the credibility of an Emmy Award-winning news story. That’s what Randle Communications (Randle), Sacramento’s top ranked locally owned public relations firm, provides with what it calls the Randle News Team (News Team). Led by Randle Senior Vice President and award winning journalist Kevin Riggs and former Washington Nationals Director of Baseball Media Relations Mike Gazda, the News Team provides a variety of customized communications services. Of particular note are Randle’s News-style Impact Videos, a viewer-friendly and effective storytelling tool that humanizes complex public affairs issues, connects with people and can be shared on smartphones, iPads and other devices.

“Video has become the currency of communications and combining the power of visual imagery with the credibility of a journalistic approach is the best way for organizations to impact target audiences,” Randle President & CEO Jeff Randle said. “We created the News Team to provide clients with Kevin Riggs’ unrivaled standard of issue management and Mike Gazda’s unique perspective counseling some of the world’s most recognizable professional athletes. News-style Impact Videos build awareness and get results by painting a powerful picture and putting a human face on important issues.”

Riggs is an Emmy Award-winning former broadcast journalist with a background of nearly 30 years in television news, 17 years of which were spent as political reporter for KCRA-TV Sacramento. Gazda spent 15 years as a communications executive in professional baseball, including his role as head of media relations during the Sacramento River Cats’ first five seasons in the capital city and most recently as the former Director of Media Relations for the MLB Washington Nationals. His experience with media relations and crisis communications represents invaluable insight in the field of media issues.

The News Team has already developed videos for a broad audience and tackled issues ranging from Medi-Cal to the impact of immigration policy on California’s economy to the Death Penalty. Clients who have used the Randle approach include the California Hospital Association, California Chamber of Commerce and Stanford Youth Solutions. A sampling of News-style Impact Videos can be found on the Randle Communications YouTube channel.

In addition, the News Team is also able to draw upon the real world experience of Riggs and Gazda to conduct comprehensive and customized media training programs to help clients understand the rules of how best to take advantage of opportunities to communicate clearly and effectively.

“It’s not just what you say that matters, but how you say it,” Riggs said. “In today’s lightning-fast, deadline-driven world, it’s crucial to be ready, whether dealing with traditional or digital media. We work with organizations, including CEOs, training them to be prepared to capitalize on media opportunities, whether they are proactive, reactive or the result of a crisis situation. The chance to communicate is an opportunity to define, differentiate and establish your brand. The Randle News Team helps clients make the most of it.”
